Really a piece of cake recipe! Enjoy yourself and your family with this moisture apple caramel cake. Just imagine how the nuances of sourness mingle perfectly with the sweet caramel. Soo Tasty with Soo Foodies!
- You can use ready caramel on top instead of liquefying the syrup
- You can prepare it also with pears for example
- Serve it cooled down
Wash and slice the apples in the form of a crescent. Leave the pieces a bit thicker for better distinguishing of the sour, apple taste. Sift the flour and add baking powder. Put half of the sugar and the butter into a pan on the hot plate. Heat over medium heat until butter melts and sugar turns into caramel. Withdraw from the hot plate and arrange the apples in one direction as a fan.
Whisk the eggs with the other 220 g sugar. Add flour with baking powder mix. Spread over the caramel and apples. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 200 C for 30 minutes. Keep the cake for 5 minutes in the baking tin to cool slightly and then turn it upside down over a big flat plate, with a careful and fast movement. Pour one cup of water in the pan and return to hot plate. Let it bubble for 5 minutes and liquefy the remaining caramel. Moist the cake with the syrup.
