4 Eggs
2 tea cups Sugar
1 & 1/2 tea cups Sunflower oil
400 g Yogurt
30 pieces Chestnuts
1 tsp Vanilla
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Baking soda

Close your eyes and feel the smell of the chestnuts. Some more ingredients to add and in a short notice you will have a reason to love the day. Chestnut cake – Soo Tasty with Soo Foodies!

  • Make a little cut in every chestnut before baking to avoid bursting
  • For easier peeling off, do it while chestnuts are still warm
  • You can also dust the cake with powdered sugar at the end for additional sweetness



Make a little cut in every chestnut and place them over baking paper in oven for about 30 minutes. Peel off while still warm and chop into small pieces.


Add baking soda in yogurt. Beat the eggs up, add sugar, yogurt with soda, oil, flour, vanilla and cinnamon. Stir well.


Pour the dough and add the chestnuts in it, well blended. Bake for 1 hour in cold oven. Make sure the chestnuts "drop" in the dough.
