1 kg breasts Chicken
80 ml Sunflower oil
300 g Onions
200 g Mushrooms
150 g Red pepper
200 ml Tomato sauce
20 g Parsley
2 Bay leaves
2 sprigs of Thyme
1 tbs Celery
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Black pepper
1 tsp Red pepper
1 tsp Savory
150 ml White wine

Kavarma is a type of meal that bears variations but the result is always great taste and huge ovations at the family table. Soft meat, tender vegetables and loads of spices, this is how unquestionably magicsmells like. Soo Tasty with Soo Foodies!

  • You may use other type of meat as per your taste
  • If you do not use chicken meat, take your time to stew it longer
  • Mashed potatoes or rice are perfect garnish to kavarma
  • You may also serve kavarma as filling of a thin omelette



Cut the chicken into cubes. Chop the red peppers, parsley and celery. Slice the onions and the mushrooms. Take frying pan and put the sunflower oil in. When heated, add onions and fry for 5 minutes. Add the chicken meat and the mushrooms and stew for another 5 minutes.


Transfer everything from the frying pan into saucepan. Add the chopped red peppers, tomato sauce, parsley, bay leaves, thyme and celery. Season with salt, black pepper, red pepper and savory. Pour the white wine and stir everything well. Cover with lid and put in cold oven for 45 minutes.
