200 g Yogurt
280 g Flour
1.5 tsp Baking powder
0.5 tsp Vanilla
8 tbs Sunflower oil
400 g green Fig jam
200 g Walnuts
4 Whites
0.5 tea cup Sugar

Lady’s Caprice

Tender dough base and layers of sweet temptations above. Crunchy by walnuts and so fluffy on top. In this case connoisseur would probably conclude “It’s name shows how irresistible it is.”. Lady’s Caprice – Soo Tasty with Soo Foodies!

  • You can use flour with already added baking powder
  • Use a dry bowl when you mix the whites
  • If you don’t like your dessert to be too sweet you can add just the fruits from the jam and skip the sweet sauce
  • You can use any kind of jam that you like
  • You can use different nuts
  • Use pan with removable bottom



Separate the yolks from the egg whites. Mix together the yolks and the sugar. Add the yogurt and the oil. Mix again. Add baking powder, vanilla and the flour. Pour the dough in a cake pan and bake at 180 C for 25-30 minutes.


When the sponge is ready and it is still warm spread the jam all over it. Sprinkle with the chopped walnuts. Mix the white eggs with the sugar until they get thick. Set the fluffy mixture over the layer of walnuts. Use a spoon to give a nice shape of the whites.


Bring the cake back in the oven and bake until the flames get a nice caramel color. When serving you can cut into small pieces.
