2 tbs Strawberry jam
1 tbs Basil
40 g Bread buns (4 pieces of 10 g)
2 Eggs
100 ml Milk
1 tsp Honey
1 tsp Vanilla
75 g Raspberries
150 g Strawberries

  • You may replace with any jam of your taste in fact
  • Experiment with mascarpone or rucula, for example

In small bowl, mix together the cream cheese with the strawberry jam and the chopped basil.

Slice the bread by half. Carefully make a hole in the middle of the slice to shape a pocket for the cream filling. Fill each bread pocket with 1 table spoon of the cheese mixture.

In medium bowl whisk the eggs well. Add the milk, the honey and the vanilla and whisk again.

Place the stuffed bread into large pan and turn the heat on. Pour the egg mixture over the bread, letting it soak all well. Cook for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown.

Serve 2 pieces in portion and decorate with fresh berries on top – raspberries and strawberries.
