Cute little soda buns that disappear really fast. Crispy dough, salty filling and cozy feeling. Perfect for breakfast, snack, picnic or as party bites. Soo Tasty with Soo Foodies!

  • You may add spices like savory or fenugreek in the dough
  • Use a bowl with cold water while shaping the balls
  • In addition, serve with dip, lutenitsa or ayran
  • If you want to preserve them till the next day, cover with cloth when ready



Sift the flour and crumble the sirene. Make a well inside the flour and add yogurt, baking soda and a pinch of salt. Add the crumbled sirene and stir carefully with a wooden spoon until soft, elastic dough is formed.


Take baking tray and cover it with parchment paper. Make small balls from the dough with the size of an egg and arrange them on the baking tray. Press gently with finger the top of the balls and make a little hole in each one of them. Put slices of butter in the holes. Bake in preheat oven at 180 C until golden brown.
