30 g dried Apricots
6 tbs Sugar
3 tbs Walnuts
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Lemon peel
20 g Butter
0.5 liter Water

10 g Butter
15 g Cognac
20 g sliced Almonds

Directions

Stuffed baked apples full of aromas and flavors to go crazy about. Sweet, crunchy filling balanced against fresh, melting apple wrap. Absolutely irresistible caramel topping with crunchiness again, this time of almonds. Rich flavor, yet, easy to prepare. Soo Tasty with Soo Foodies!

  • You can change dried fruits and spices with such of your taste
  • You may substitute white sugar with brown for more caramel zest
  • Furthermore, you may garnish with whipped cream or favorite ice cream

Take a corer and carefully excavate the inner part of the apples. Chop the walnuts and dried apricots. Grate the lemon peel. Melt the butter.

In a medium bowl combine the apricots, sugar, walnuts, lemon peel, cinnamon and the melted butter. Stir well and fill in the apples with the mixture.

Arrange the stuffed apples in baking tray. Pour water and put in preheat oven at 200 C. Bake for 20 minutes. Тake the apples from the oven.

In a saucepan add about 70 ml apple juice from the baking. Put the brown sugar and caramelize. When the sugar is melted and topping is caramelized and thickened, withdraw from hot plate and add the butter, the cognac and the almonds. Serve the baked apples with 2-3 table spoons of caramel topping on each.
