225 g Sugar
140 g Flour
1 tsp Baking powder
200 ml Espresso
300 g Bananas
900 g Sour cream
200 g Powdered sugar
2 tbs Cognac

Tripled layered banana cake

Three layers of deliciousness. Espresso moist sponge cake, fresh banana slices and sour cream. Full of aromas, creamy but light. And so easy to prepare. Tripled layered banana cake – Soo Tasty with Soo Foodies!

  • Add some brandy to the espresso  for even richer taste



Sift the flour. Beat the eggs with the sugar. Gradually, add the flour and the baking powder. Beat everything well to smooth dough. Take baking tray with removable ring. It will be used for baking and assembling the cake. Cover the tray with parchment paper. Transfer the dough in and bake for 30 minutes in preheat oven at 200 C.


Take out the cake and leave it to cool. Moist richly the sponge cake with espresso. Cut the bananas in equal slices. Arrange all over the cake, on several layers, if necessary.


Mix carefully with spatula the sour cream with the powdered sugar and the cognac. Distribute the cream evenly over the bananas. Put in refrigerator for at least an hour to get tight.
