Spinach koftas
2 tbs Sunflower oil
0.5 tsp spring Garlic
400 g fresh Spinach
2 Eggs
250 g Sirene
100 g Bread-crumbs
Black pepper
Flour for shaping
Sunflower oil for frying
400 g Yogurt
70 g Mayonaise
1 tbs spring Garlic
2 tbs fresh Dill
A pinch of Salt

Perfect combination of ingredients and extremely delicious result saying “Аnother one, please!”. Soft, salty, full of aromas. Easy party-time appetizer to share with family and friends. Soo Tasty with Soo Foodies!

  • Depending on the bread crumbs and sirene, you may change how salty they are
  • Skip mayonnaise for lighter sauce
  • If you use ripe garlic, press it lightly with some salt before combining with the rest of the ingredients



Wash the spinach. Slice the spring garlic. Crumble the sirene. Fry the spring garlic for 1-2 minutes only with constant stir in frying pan with 2 tbs heated sunflower oil. Add the spinach and stew for about 10 minutes. Drain well and transfer to dry bowl. Blend.


Add the eggs, the crumbled sirene and the bread crumbs, flavor with salt and black pepper. Mix all ingredients well and start shaping the koftas. You may add some more bread crumbs or 1 tbs flour if the mixture is too soft. Finally roll the koftas all over with flour. Beat out carefully the unnecessary flour.


Heat deep frying pan with sunflower oil. Reduce the heat and stir constantly during frying to avoid burning. After taking out, lay on kitchen paper to absorb the unwanted oil.

In medium bowl, combine the yogurt, the mayonnaise, the chopped spring garlic and the fresh dill. Season with salt if you like. Serve spinach koftas and sauce according to your imagination, with the sauce aside in a separate container or as “bed” for the koftas.
